Congratulations to Paula Jacklin, back in the winners’ circle once again after a superb 5-1 victory over Sweden’s Anna Forsmark to claim the Catalonia Open.

But rather than me rambling on about it, I’ll let husband Des explain exactly what this one meant…

“Well, she done good again! Just won the Catalonia Open 5-1.

Paula Jacklin (Lincolnshire ladies Captain ) has just won the Austrian Death Angel Open here in Vienna Austria, she played on between an 80 and 90 average all through the final but ended up a 5-1 winner with an 82 Average, yes,,,, she actually hit her doubles today, must have been all the practice she had at the doubles the last 3 days!!!!!!

Austrian Darts Festival Weekend

The darts started on Thursday and the less said about this the better. I lost in the L32 to a very good Moreno Blom who averaged 97 if I remember rightly .

Friday was another poor day losing in the L32. Luckily these were only bronzes and I had two days to turn it round for the silvers.

Saturday was a much better day in the Lower Austrian Masters making the final , coming out short to Brian Raman 6-3 in the final. I played well throughout the day with some crucial clutch finishing . If you’ve seen the video , you’ve seen it, I know it’s done its rounds but I’ll leave that there. With the run on Saturday it filled the confidence and desire for a win on Sunday.

Sunday was the Death Angel open and I’m pleased to bag my 5th title of the WDF season beating Liam Maendl- Lawrence 6-4 in the final, averaging 89 over the whole day so a very good showing. A very respectful game between two friends . Liam is a total gent on and off the board and it was a pleasure to share the final with him.

Overall I leave with a win and a final in two silvers . I’d have took that before the weekend started.
